WRD FMX Rider Luke Saunders planning on going upside down..
WRD FMX Star Luke Saunders has come a lng way in recent years and has just about every right way up tricks dialed . So now its time for revy to put his YZ 250F upside down and go to the next level that he deserves.
A lot of time and organising goes into making it safe for the 1st few flips into a foam pit just to make sure everything goes right and the rotation is perfect before he takes it to dirt.
WRD's Mike Ward says " revy will have no problems with this, his riding has ben unreal of late and this is something he needs to do to take his riding to the next level. hes a great kid with unreal tricks the right way up so going upside down can only help his progress to the top.I believe the sky's the limit for this kid"

WRD Leads the way in toowoomba 
WRDmx riders had a great day at toowoomba
sun shine state series landing on the podium in
just about every class ..
Starting of with the 3 WRDMX Team riders of
Nato Crawford ,Wade Hunter and Joe Hobson .
Nato started of slowly on saturdays racing and
suffered with bad starts and with bad starts comes mid race troubles that shouldnt happen. finally for the last 85cc and 125cc race he got things together and came home with pair of 4ths to stay in the top 5 in the 12-15 85cc clas and is now 4 points out of 3rd in the 13-15yrs 125cc class. its been an up and down year for nato but a big learning year and he will only be a better rider for it.
Wade Hunter made his return to racing at toowoomba with basically 2 years off the bike and came out and dominated both intermediate lites races on his WRD CRF 250 . 2 holeshots and 2 wins what a way to come back and show everyone what talent he has.
Joey Hobson must have been feeding of wades success and didnt want to let the team down and put his WRD/Queensland Yamaha YZ 250f out front with a big holeshot in moto 1 and stayed ahead of national riders Sam Duncanson and Jacob Wright for over half of the 20min race finally bringing it home in 4th. Moto 2 was a similar start in 2nd place behind Duncanson and faught all the way to the finish with Wright to finish 3rd .. with 4-3 moto scores for 4th on the day and moves to 3rd place in the series and 1 point behind 2nd place with 1 round remaining.
WRD's Mike Ward says" its great to finally have all 3 boyz on the line and i couldnt have asked anymore of them , nato has impressed me all year and just had an off day but got it together like a true champ and came home strong, wade was awesome ,i cant wait to see him get more bike time and get even better and i was happy he just stayed in 1 piece and i dont know what got into joey bet he was really on it today , the ol tiger had some fight, very proud of all the WRD boys"
As far as the WRD Support riders they cleaned up also
65cc rider Josh livsey got his 1st podium of the year and finished 3rd and holds down 5th in series
Tamara Gray finished 2nd and holds down 2nd in the series 14 points down on 1st
Jordan Bird leads both clubman 250/450 classes as does Darcy Jones in intermediate 250/450 classes
Daniel Livsey picked up another podium in 3rd and holds down 11th after missing a round
Dee Wilson finishes 10th and controls the #6 position overall
and Pro opens Matty Haworth has all but clinched the Pro open title needing just 3 points at the final round to grab the #1 plate
So as you can see WRD riders are really getting control of the sunny state series on either WRD Suspension or Motors and proving it really works.." Results speak louder than words"

WRD welcomes back Wade Hunter
WRD's young gun Wade Hunter returns to racing this weekend at Round 7 of the SunShine State Series at Toowoombas echo valley circuit. Wade was in his best form back in march coming off a 5th place moto at the MXNationals Round 1 u19's and showed amazing speed at round 1 of the sunshine state series before having a nasty get off and wrecking what could have been, but like many times before he gets back on and comes back even stronger.
WRD's Mike Ward says " Wades talent,speed and style on the bike is amazing and i just hope he can get some luck on his side and show the rest of the MX industry what he can do on a dirtbike, the sky's the limit for this kid i really beleive this kid is a future champion "
WRD will also have Nathan Crawford and Joe Hobson ready to do battle on the tough red clay rutty track .

Luke "revy" Saunders places 7th at RD 2
WRD's FMX rider Luke Saunders placed 7th at round 2 of the underground tour on the weekend , after the long 24hour drive through to Adelaide revy was keen to up the anti and go better than his 4th place at round 1. After rain all friday the course was a little boggy and changed up the results a bit, altho the points were super close in the end all revy could mange was 7th. This is still great points towards the title and anything can happen. The boys now have a couple weeks off before round 3 .

Nato keeps the podiums alive
After such a great result in the Queensland titles nato was keen to carry that form into the Sunshine State Series,with many rounds being cancelled due to rain early in the year we finally got some dry weekends and this brought some great racing..
Again Nato competed in the 12-13yr 85cc age group...stoping of at coolum,hervey bay,toowoomba,roma and tivoli raceways nato finished the series in 3rd behind Yamaha rider Joel Dinsdale and Ktm pilot Jesse Dobson. This was a great way to finish the year off and a great way to repay all our great sponsors at WRD
Nato" This was a great series , i had my up's and down's but learnt alot along the way and now no what i need to work on for next year to improve this result,i just want to say a big thankyou to all the WRD team sponsors for all the help and support for 2010 "

Nato Crawford 2nd in Queensland Titles
After steping up into the 12-13yr 85cc age group nato was going to have his hands full with the older boys, he did nothing but amaze everyone and wet onto podium 8 of the 9 motos and only finished 4th in the 1 moto he didnt podium...he showed consistancy pays off and he was only beat by an inform Yamaha Development rider in Joel Dinsdale..
Nato says " With wade and steve being injured i was flying the WRD banner on my own and didnt want to let the team down, im very happy with my consistancy just need to work on some raw speed now,also congratulations to joel on an awesome series"
WRD " We are stoked at nato's results ,we set out to just show consistant results and work on a few week areas in his riding, he did all we asked of him and more and he was only upstaged by a very fast and inform joel dinsdale so nothing to be ashamed of there, we also want to say a big thankyou to all our team sponsors for there help and support..

WRD TRACKSIDE SUPPORT
WRD now has a van decked out to do mobile work and trackside support at the races,the van will hold all your major spare parts and tyres aswell as a work bench and tools to fix any of the dramas you run into while at the track.Why go home when you dont have to , got a blown Fork seal or a flat tyre or left your air filter at home ? or even if you would like some info on your suspension set up or jetting spec .. so if you see the WRD van and you need some help drop by and the boys will be only to happy to try and get you back out on the track where you belong.

WRD GOES RACING
WRD will feild an MX team in 2010 , with young Nathan Crawford jnr racing is RM85 in the 85cc class , Wade Hunter will step into seniors and pilot his new fuel injected CRF250R in the lites class and Steve Duncanson will step up to the open class where he is keen for a fresh start and get some great results for the new WRD MX TEAM and there sponsors who have come on board and helped out this development team as the aim is to help these young guys reach there potenial and get them one step closer to where they want to be.
